The National Cinema Museum’s library is a reference point for scholars of the history of cinema, pre-cinema and photography. Its collections are constantly updated and include historical essays and critiques, text analyses, dictionaries and encyclopedias, biographies of directors and actors, musical scores, photo albums, festival catalogs, graduating theses, Italian and foreign journals and more.In October 2009, the “Mario Gromo” Mediatheque launched a service to loan out material from a selection of approximately 500 monographs.
