The film restoration:
The preservation of Uno tra la folla was conducted using digital technology and was carried out by the CSC - Cineteca Nazionale of Rome and Museo Nazionale del Cinema di Torino. The film was presented at the 66th Venice Film Festival as part of the retrospective “These Phantoms 2,” curated by Sergio Toffetti. A characteristic of this feature film – and of the other film that was presented in this same section, Margherita fra i tre, which is virtually unknown to and unseen by the greater public – is that it was made in Torino in the historical studios of Fert, which was founded during the heydays of Torino’s silent film production.
