(1922)
Lenght: 597m – Intertitles: Italian –

The film:

This technical-industrial documentary dating back to 1922 tells about the National factory of paints, colors and brushes called “A.Paramatti”, founded by Giuseppe Ratti and Annibale Paramatti at the end of the Nineteenth century.  The images describe the daily work in the factory in his historical headquarter in Settimo Torinese: from the preparation of the resins, oils and solvents, to the production of the cans and the packaging of the paints, passing through the department of the colors and brushes.  The film ends with the workers exit from the factory at the end of the work.

The film restoration:

Preservation was carried out by the National Cinema Museum of Torino, based on a black and white nitrate copy. A dupe negative and a positive print were printed on safety film from the nitrate print. The restoration was conducted at the L’Immagine Ritrovata laboratory in Bologna in 1994.
