The film:

Tweedledum goes to the theater on his own and is quite bored by the show; his attention is awaken thanks to the exhibition of a young and pretty girl. Tweedledum rushes to the backstage and helplessly tries an approach offering her a bouquet; after falling in a trapdoor and ending up on the stage, when he finally reaches the dressing room, the singer is already gone. Bribing the waitress, Tweedledum succeeds to get the business card of the artist. On the road, Tweedledum is attacked by two apaches, but he manages to reach the house of the beauty and busts into her room. When the singer, shouts for help two policemen rush over carrying away the intrusive invader. 

 

The film restoration:

The restored print of Robinet innamorato di una chantause was bought by the Museo Nazionale del Cinema di Torino in 1992. The restoration was carried out by the Nederlands Filmmuseum di Amsterdam [EYE Film Institute Netherlands]  from a black and white nitrate print with Dutch intertitles belonging to the Jean Desmet collection.
