The film:

Two little jewels by the director Alfred Machin. In the first fragment, an enthusiastic lecturer is teacher at the hens’ school. On the paths of the famous Emile Zola “J’accuse”, the rooster professor inveighs against the most hated category in the chicken coop: chefs.

In the second fragment, the director, expert in shooting films starring animals, films a bizarre story of a dog, a rooster and  a naughty balloon. 

 

The film restoration:

The preservation of the two fragments (76 meters-long and 129 meters-long) of Moi aussi j’accuse was conducted by the Museo Nazionale del Cinema di Torino, from a colored nitrate copy with Italian intertitles conserved at the Museum.

The restoration was carried out at the laboratory L’Immagine Ritrovata in Bologna in 2011.
